The Sibolga Police Joint Team led by Sibolga Police Chief AKBP Taryono Raharja raided three drug base locations in Sibolga City, North Sumatra.

"The joint raid was carried out on Wednesday (08/11) by the Sibolga Police together with the TNI, BNN of Tapteng Regency and Lurah in the context of mitigating drug trafficking in the Sibolga City area," said Head of Narcotics Unit AKP Sugiono as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, November 9.

Sugiono said the raid was safe, orderly and smooth.

The first location, at 16.20 WIB, the joint team headed to Jalan IL. Nomensen, Angin Nauli Village, North Sibolga District, Sibolga City.

During the narcotics raid at the location, the remaining used methamphetamine-type drug consumption was found in the form of used five bongs, scissors, pipettes, spoons, plastic residues, small white packs of methamphetamine and mancis.

Not far from the location of the raid, two men were found who were suspected of being drug users and then tested with positive results using drugs.

The two men, namely, RS (35) selling salted fish, Pasar Behind Sibolga Address (positive results), BB (38) selling salted fish, Cendrawasi Sibolga Street Address (positive results).

"Furthermore, the two men were taken to the Sibolga Police Station for questioning and guidance," he said.

Sugiono said the second location, at 17.10 WIB, the joint team headed to Jalan KH. Ahmad Dahlan, Aek Habil Village, South Sibolga District, Sibolga City. Precisely at the location of the KNTM, the joint team conducted a narcotics raid on the Pamoge Ship, two used bongs were found.

"Furthermore, the ship owners and crew members were tested negative and the results were negative, namely RS (34) Fishermen, Jalan Bangau Sibolga Address, RS (24) Fishermen, Bangau Sibolga Street Address," he explained.

Kasat Narkoba explained the third location, at 17.30 WIB, the joint team headed to Jalan Pasir Bidang, Aek Muara Pinang Village, South Sibolga District, Sibolga City.

Precisely at the pig farm owned by residents, the joint team conducted narcotics raids and found two small plastic packs of methamphetamine, but no one was found taking drugs.

"Furthermore, the evidence was secured by personnel from the Sibolga Police Narcotics Unit," said Sugiono.
