Heru Budi Affirms Will Not Sell Beer Shares Questioned By PKS

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Heru Budi Hartono confirmed that he would not sell shares of PT Delta Djakarta owned by the DKI Provincial Government.

"No. There is no intention of selling PT Delta's shares," said Heru when met at the Borobudur hotel, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, October 31.

The ownership of shares of beer companies in the DKI Provincial Government is again questioned by PKS. Some time ago, PKS President Ahmad Syaikhu reviewed that former DKI Governor Anies Baswedan had wanted to sell PT Delta shares owned by the DKI Provincial Government.

However, when it was submitted to the DKI DPRD, the beer company's share sale plan was rejected by the PDIP faction and the chairman of the DKI DPRD so that the sale of beer shares failed.

According to Heru, Delta shares owned by the DKI Provincial Government since the era of former DKI Jakarta Governor Ali Sadikin have its own history.

"So delta shares must know the story. There are many processes, yes," he said.

Separately, the chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi, explained that at that time, the purpose of the DKI Provincial Government to get PT Delta's shares was to control the circulation of alcohol in the community.

"For example, as local governments, we can control the extent to which people buy and drink beer. If it is not controlled, how will the community be? All of the people will get drunk," said Prasetyo.

The chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD emphasized that 25.26 percent of shares in PT Delta actually increased the DKI Provincial Government's regional cash income with an average of IDR 50 billion per year from the distribution of dividends.

"We have never given PT Delta capital participation, you know. When we were COVID, we got funds from there to help. PAD (regional revenue) our company is (highest) Bank DKI, the two PT Deltas," said Prasetyo.

Anies Baswedan's plan to sell shares of beer in PT Delta Djakarta Tbk which was promised from the beginning as Governor of DKI until his term of office was not completed.

In fact, Anies has applied for approval for the sale of PT Delta Djakarta shares several times to the DKI Jakarta Provincial DPRD.

Among them, the Letter of the Governor of DKI Jakarta Province Number 479/-1.822 dated May 16, 2018 regarding the Application for Approval of the Sale of Shares of PT Delta Djakarta, Tbk; Letter of the Governor of DKI Jakarta Province Number 91/-1.822 concerning Application for Approval of the Sale of Shares of PT Delta Djakarta, Tbk; and Letter of the Governor of DKI Jakarta Province Number 177/-1.822 regarding Application for Approval of the Sale of Shares of PT Delta Djakarta, Tbk.
