JAKARTA - The British government has budgeted 2 million (around Rp384 billion) funds to help teachers in the country simplify the learning process, the British Ministry of Education said.

"Every teacher in the UK will take advantage of new resources with artificial intelligence (AI) support to help them plan learning and draw up exam materials and help reduce workload," the UK Education Ministry wrote in a press release broadcast on the UK government website, gov.uk, reported by ANTARA, Monday, October 30.

The 2 million-pound investment was channeled to Oak National Academy to create new AI-supported learning tools which will be the first step in providing personalized AI learning planning assistants.

Oak National Academy was founded to support teachers in obtaining high-quality online curriculum resources.

The allocation of funds of that size was taken following a pilot project of AI-supported testing equipment and learning planners.

Thousands of teachers in the UK have signed up to be able to use this teaching aid to help them create individual content that is tailored to student teaching and based on the high-quality curriculum content made by Oak.

According to the UK's Ministry of Education, this financial assistance will help Oak improve the quality of teaching aids before being used for free by teachers throughout England.

In addition to its benefits, the potential bad impact of AI is also in the spotlight of the world so that the UK will hold a high-level AI meeting on 1-2 November 2023.

According to Sky News, the high-level meeting to be held in Buckinghamshire will be attended by a number of political leaders and the world's IT industry, including British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and United States Vice President Kamala Harris, as well as inviting China.
