13 Crew Members Of KM Inka Mina Successfully Evacuated By Ternate Basarnas After The Fire Incident In The Waters Of Doko Island

TERNATE - The Search and Rescue Office of the Ternate Basarnas, North Maluku Province (Malut) managed to evacuate 13 crew members of the KM Inka Mina Maritim 036 fishing boat that caught fire in the waters between Doko Island and Kasiruta, South Halmahera Regency. "A total of 13 crew members of KM Inka Mina were successfully evacuated safely," said Head of Basarnas Ternate, Fathur Rahman when contacted from Ternate, Antara, Thursday, October 26. He explained that at around 10.15 WIT, the crew of the KM Inka Mina Maritime 036 ship had been evacuated by the Putra Putri 02 ship that passed the incident area, all victims were then taken to Marikopo Village, while the condition of the KM Maritime 036 ship had sunk. Previously, Basarnas Ternate deployed its personnel to assist the crew of the fishing boat KM Inka Mina Maritim 036, which experienced a fire between the waters of Doko Island and Palamea, South Halmahera Regency while looking for fish. The head of the Ternate Basarnas, Fathur Rahman, said that the Ternate Search and Rescue Office through the Bacan SAR Alert Unit previously received the report on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at around 08.00 WIT.

The Basarnas team deployed from Syahbandar Panamboang immediately dispatched the USS Halsel Rescue Team to move to the location (LKP) using RB 309 to carry out search and rescue.
