The Decision Of The Name Of Prabowo's Companion Is Already Round, Democrats Deny The Determination Is Tough

JAKARTA - The Democratic Party denied that the meeting of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) regarding the determination of the candidate for vice president (cawapres) accompanying Prabowo Subianto was tough.

Head of the Democratic Party's Organizational, Cadreization and Membership Development Agency (BPOKK) Herman Khaeron said KIM was unanimous regarding the names of presidential and vice presidential candidates carried in the 2024 presidential election.

"No, no problem. It's unanimous," said Herman Khaeron after attending the Gibran Rakabuming Raka meeting who visited Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono alias AHY's residence in Jakarta, Sunday, October 22, was confiscated by Antara.

He explained that the Democrat's attitude regarding it supports whoever Prabowo Subianto chooses.

"The sovereignty and decision are with Pak Prabowo," said Herman.

However, the Democrats are still reluctant to mention the name of the vice presidential candidate who has a strong chance of being elected by Prabowo.

Herman, on that occasion, also mentioned that the meeting between Gibran and AHY was limited to friendship. He denied the meeting related to the determination of the vice presidential candidate, although Gibran on Saturday, October 21, was officially proposed by the Golkar Party as a prospective vice presidential candidate who accompanied Prabowo Subianto.

"Once again, regarding how the presidential candidacy will be, in the future, Pak Prabowo will announce it, when it will be announced by him," said Herman.

At the same location, Head of the Democratic Party's General Election Winning Body (Bappilu) Andi Arief said Prabowo had determined his vice presidential candidate.

"Pak Prabowo will already determine the vice presidential candidate, already get the vice president," said Andi Arief.

In the last few days, the name of President Joko Widodo's eldest son, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, has become increasingly rumored to be Prabowo's vice presidential candidate. Gibran is currently still active serving as Mayor of Solo and PDI-P cadres.

Previously, Prabowo's candidate for vice president apart from Gibran was Erick Thohir at the suggestion of PAN, Khofifah Indar Parawansa, which was proposed by the Democratic Party, and Yusril Ihza Mahendra as Chairman of the Crescent Star Party.

The Democrat Party is currently part of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition with the Gerindra Party, Golkar Party, PAN, PBB, the Indonesian Gelora Party, Garuda Party, PRIMA. The parties carry Prabowo Subianto forward for the 2024 presidential election as a presidential candidate.
