MUKOMUKO - A resident of Koto Jaya Village, Mukomuko Regency, Bengkulu, was shocked by the discovery of a two-meter crocodile inside an emergency well in the area.

North Mukomuko Police Chief Iptu Yudha Ferry Wijaya said residents found crocodiles in an emergency well located on the border between Air Dikit District and Mukomuko City District at around 09.00 WIB.

"The crocodile was found by two residents of Koto Jaya Village, Monas Chandra (56) and Suadi (47)," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, October 20.

Based on the statements of the two residents, one of the local residents was looking for a forest honeycomb around the mangrove forest along the abrasion beach, precisely on the border of Air Dikit District with Mukomuko City District.

On the way to find the honey, he said, there was a sound of water in the emergency well such as an animal entering it. Out of curiosity, the residents then saw the well and it turned out that there was a crocodile.

For this incident, he said, the resident immediately informed the head of RT 06 Koto Jaya Village to ask for help in evacuating crocodiles while contacting members of the North Mukomuko Police.

"The characteristics of the crocodile found by the resident are two meters long and female," he said.

Until now, the crocodile has been secured at a resident's house and is waiting for the Mukomuko Natural Resources Conservation Agency (BKSDA) to come to pick him up.
