Sympathizers Supporting Anies-Cak Imin Sing the Hit Song 'Rungkad' in Front of the Indonesian KPU Office

JAKARTA - The pejorative song entitled "Rungkad" was sung by a group of supporters of the candidate pair for President and Vice President Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar in front of the General Election Commission (KPU) office, Imam Bonjol Street, Menteng, Jakarta Center, Thursday, October 19.

The song was sung by an orator from the command car. The singer's voice was greeted with dancing by female and male sympathizers in front of the command car.

"Rungkad, entek entekan. Kelang koe sing paling tak sayang. Bondoku melayang tego tenan, tangis tangisan," said a singer from the top of the command car.

Apart from that, one of the female sympathizers supporting the presidential candidate pair Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar was also seen dancing on the command car while carrying a poster that read "Building the country without destroying the earth" with a logo that said 'Amen'.

The registration process with the Indonesian KPU on the first day of registration for Presidential and Vice Presidential Candidates, which was open from 19 October to 25 October 2023, looked very lively.

Previously it was reported that two lanes along Imam Bonjol Street towards the KPU building, Menteng District, Central Jakarta, were filled with a sea of people sympathizing with the presidential and vice presidential candidates on Thursday, October 19. Thousands of people have packed the KPU office area in Menteng since Thursday morning.

From VOI monitoring, various elements of mass organizations and parties continued to arrive at the KPU office. They are getting worse. In fact, lion dance performances also enlivened the registration parade for presidential and vice presidential candidates at the KPU office.

Faraz Edimulya (38), one of the sympathizers of one of the presidential and vice presidential candidates, admitted that he had arrived at the Imam Bonjol Street area to wait for the arrival of his idol presidential and vice presidential candidates.

"I've been waiting for Mr. Anies - Muhaimin's arrival here since morning. I came from North Jakarta, so it's quite far. If I don't arrive early in the morning, I'm afraid I'll be stuck in traffic jams on the road," he told VOI in the KPU building area, Imam Bonjol Street, Menteng, Thursday , October 19.
