Denpasar Residents Are Prohibited From Using Laser Highlights Related To The Suwung TPA Fire

DENPASAR - Denpasar City Government (Pemkot), Bali, issued Circular Letter (SE) Number: 364/1859/Satpol PP Year 2023 for handling fires at TPA Suwung.

The SE regulates the temporary suspension of the use of laser lights or cloud-breaking lights that eliminate rain until October 25, 2023.

Head of the Denpasar City Satpol PP Unit, AA Ngurah Bawa Nendra, said the SE was issued in order to support the acceleration of handling fires at the Suwung TPA.

This is because the rain is expected to extinguish the hotspots more quickly.

SE will take effect from 18 October to 25 October 2023 and can be extended according to disaster emergency response needs.

"To business actors and the public to temporarily stop the use of laser lights or spotlights that function to break the clouds (which) eliminate rain for religious or traditional ceremonies, wedding celebrations, events and other activities," said Narendra, in a written statement, Wednesday, October 18.

The temporary suspension of the use of laser lights or spotlights as intended is to accelerate the rain.

This is especially in the fire emergency response area in the context of fire management at TPA Suwung, Denpasar City.

Satpol PP said that the supervision of the implementation of this circular would be carried out by the Denpasar City Satpol, Camat, Perbekel or Lurah as well as the command to deal with the fire disaster at the Suwung TPA, Denpasar City.

It is hoped that with the rain, the handling can be carried out faster and can support the optimization of handling which is currently going well by land and air.

"With the rainfall, the blackout process can be optimized, with these various steps it is hoped that it can support the acceleration of fire management at the Suwung TPA, these are our efforts to jointly support handling, so we hope that all parties will understand," he said.
