Puan: Please Ask Mr. Jokowi To Support Ganjar Or Others, I Also Want To Know The Answer

Chairman of the PDI-P (PDIP) DPP Puan Maharani is curious about the direction of support for President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) in the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres).

This was conveyed by Puan when asked whether President Jokowi still supports Ganjar Pranowo in the midst of the current political issue, including after the Constitutional Court (MK) granted the claim for a presidential and vice presidential candidate.

The issue of this decision circulating will facilitate the steps taken by President Jokowi's son, Gibran Rakabuming Raka to run as a candidate for vice president in the 2024 presidential election.

"Please ask, I also want to know the answer," said Puan to reporters at the PDIP DPP office, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, October 18.

Puan should also think that this support should be directly asked by President Jokowi, not to PDIP.

"So I'll ask later, yes, when the president has returned (from China and Saudi Arabia, ed)," he said.

"Pak Ganjar Pranowo supporters or have other options," continued the Speaker of the DPR.

Previously, Puan denied the issue of rifts between PDIP and President Jokowi. He said the relationship between the two was good and there were no problems.

"There is absolutely no split of the partnership, everything is fine," said Puan when met before the declaration of Ganjar's vice presidential candidate.
