JAKARTA - The Aceh Democratic DPD denied any upload of photos of rejection of the arrival of Presidential candidate Anies Baswedan to Aceh which had been widely circulated on TikTok social media. The news is confirmed to be hoax and definary. "The post is on behalf of the Secretary-General of the Democratic Party Teuku Riefky Harsya, and the Chairman of the Regional Leadership Council (DPD) of the Muslim Aceh Democratic Party," said Aceh Democratic Party spokesman Firdaus Noezula in Banda Aceh, Antara, Monday, October 16. Firdaus explained recently that a TikTok social media post was circulating which said Democrats forbade one of the presidential candidates to come to Aceh, on behalf of the Secretary General and the Chairman of the Aceh Democratic DPD. Based on the monitoring of the Democratic media team, the post has been spread on various communication media platforms such as the Whatsapp group. Firdaus ensured that the post was a lie and slander that was deliberately made by irresponsible parties and wanted to damage the image of the Democrats in Aceh. "The “Posting is slander and fake news," he said. He emphasized that the Secretary General and Chairman of the Aceh Democratic DPD had never issued such a statement of hatred. So this was deliberately made to damage the image of the Democrats on rencong land. Firdaus added that the Democrats really appreciate the differences and principles that apply in the order of democracy, so that everything that has the potential to damage democracy and harmony in society must be avoided and the perpetrators are dealt with firmly. “ We really appreciate the differences and values that apply in the democratic system, especially in Aceh. If anyone wants to pit each other, then this effort must be prevented and followed up in accordance with applicable rules,” he said. Firdaus said, the Democrats had reported the account that posted the hoax information to the Directorate General of Informatics Applications (Ditjen Aptika) of the Indonesian Ministry of Communication and Information for later checks and strict action. It was not enough for the Democrats to take legal action to report the account to the Aceh Police, and asked the police to thoroughly investigate the case of spreading false news and slander.

"We will take legal steps to report the owner of the account. We ask that this case be thoroughly investigated by the Aceh Police," said Firdaus Noezula.
