JAKARTA - PDI-P General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri will find the best companion for Ganjar Pranowo in facing the 2024 Presidential and Vice Presidential Elections (Pilpres). "When I made the wrong choice, this was not for the benefit of parties, personal interests, but for this nation and country," said Megawati Soekarnoputri at the Hybrid PDI-P DPP 153 Meeting monitored from Jakarta, Antara, Monday, October 16. Megawati said that this week it was entering a busy period in determining Ganjar Pranowo's companion who would be registered with the KPU as a candidate pair for president and vice president. He emphasized that this was not the PDI-P's wish, nor was it electoral interests, let alone the interests of himself and his family. "We want leaders who can lead the Republic of Indonesia well," he said. According to him, his party certainly considers carefully who is the right person to accompany Ganjar. "We received input from various parties regarding the name of this companion," said Megawati. Ketum asked the PDI-P cadres to be patient because they had given him a mandate to determine who would accompany Ganjar Pranowo. "The assistant will come out of my mouth later. When I open it, the name will come out," he said. Megawati invites all cadres to be serious in making preparations for the 2024 General Election. "Improving the fighting spirit and mentality in winning the PDI-P and Ganjar Pranowo," he said. Previously, the National Winning Team (TPN) Ganjar President stated that he had recorded a number of names that would be recommended to the coalition of political parties as a companion to Ganjar Pranowo in the 2024 General Election. "We recorded all names that appeared, including Andika Perkasa, who is currently the Deputy Chair of TPN. Likewise, other names such as Mahfud Md., Erick Thohir, Sandiaga Uno, Khofifah, and others," said TPN chairman GP Arsjad Rasjid.
