Polda Metro Will Examine Eddy Hartono, Witness Claimed Firli Bahuri And SYL Not Talking About The Case At Badminton Sports Center

JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya will examine Eddy Hartono in the alleged extortion case by the KPK leadership against former Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo or SYL

Eddy Hartono is one of the parties who is said to have witnessed the meeting between Firli Bahuri and SYL at one of the Badminton Sports Centers.

"Everything will be examined, all witnesses in the alleged non-criminal incident will be examined," said Director of Special Criminal Investigation at the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Ade Safri Simanjuntak, to reporters, Friday, October 13.

The examination of all parties deemed aware will be carried out because investigators are currently collecting evidence.

So, later based on the evidence and clues that have been obtained, the suspect in the alleged extortion case will be revealed.

"The investigation aims to find and collect evidence with that evidence will shed light on the criminal acts that occurred to determine the suspects," said Ade.

Previously it was reported, Eddy Hartono revealed that in the meeting between Firli Bahuri and SYL, he did not discuss the case at all.

Eddy, who is a former national badminton athlete, also explained that the meeting between the two was also witnessed by many people who were at the location.

"I remember the topic at that time, because I sat here (right side of the photo) with the kids too. The topic at that time was cooking oil, rare. The scarcity of cooking oil," said Eddy Hartono.

He explained that there was no secret talk between Firly and SYL at the meeting. In fact, all badminton partners who sit with him can hear all the talks.

"I heard, because it was loud to talk. Fried oil, so we'll talk later, we'll talk about it later, '' tomorrow we will talk about it in the office, we'll call the Minister of Trade too,' said Eddy repeating FARly's statement.

He also explained that the arrival of SYL to the field also made Firli a bit surprised. At that time, said Eddy, Firli, who was in the middle of the badminton playing field, just waved when he was called SYL. Firly did not immediately meet him but finished the game.

"Yes, I was shocked. He just waved. Keep finishing the game, he went to the side. Chatting was still wiping our sweat, kept chatting like that," said Eddy.

The athlete, who had won a silver medal at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, also explained that the meeting lasted only about 15 minutes. Firli then returned to the field to continue the badminton game.

"The conversation didn't take long. Mr. Firli said 'yes, play again'. Mr. Firli returned to play badminton in pairs with Trikus Haryanto, his opponents were Didit Juang and Dwiky.
