The Names Of Gibran Strengthen, Prabowo And Kaesang Actually Don't Talk About Vice Presidential Candidates

JAKARTA - The name of the Mayor of Solo, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, has strengthened as a candidate for vice president (cawapres) from the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM). However, Gerindra Chairman Prabowo Subianto and PSI General Chair Kaesang Pangarep did not talk about the vice president when they met at Kertengara.

Prabowo said that he and Gibran's younger siblings only exchanged ideas about the national situation. According to him, there is a common vision between Gerindra and PSI so that the 2024 election will be cool and family.

"Earlier in that the atmosphere was session, serious and relaxed, yes, we talked about our atmosphere being suitable, we want a happy atmosphere and so on and PSI we consider the party to be full of hope, young people have many quality figures and I think they will definitely make a big contribution in our politics," said Prabowo in Kertanegara, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, Thursday, October 12.

"Earlier, there has been no discussion about the vice presidential candidate," he continued.

Prabowo acknowledged that many figures, volunteers and groups of mass organizations suggested that he have a duet with Gibran in the 2024 presidential election. However, the Minister of Defense emphasized that he would bring aspirations about the vice presidential candidate at the negotiating table of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM).

"And the answer is the same, I am part of a coalition consisting of several parties. So I say that I will take the proposals to the meeting forum for the general chairman of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition party, which we plan to hold tomorrow night," he said.

"So according to the traditions of the Indonesian nation, we will carry out deliberations to reach consensus," said Prabowo.
