JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is said to have proposed an allocation of the budget for the construction of three pedestrian bridges (JPO) with a value of Rp. 145 billion. This budget is included in the draft regional regulation regarding the 2024 DKI Jakarta APBD.
Secretary of the PSI faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Justin Adrian Untayana, assessed that the amount of the budget proposed by the DKI Jakarta Bina Marga Office to hundreds of billions of rupiah seemed odd and too large.
Bearing in mind, the construction of this one pedestrian bridge is calculated to spend a budget of IDR 50 billion.
"I highlight this, and it becomes a burden of thinking because it feels unreasonable, for the construction of 3 pedestrian bridges with a budget of Rp. 145 billion. Obviously I don't dare to agree," Justin said in his statement, Thursday, October 12.
According to Justin, the construction value of the three JPOs is very large compared to the bridge constructions that have been built in the mining industry.
"I happen to recently facilitate mining companies in contact with contractors to build a 70 meter long bridge, a 6 meter wide load can be passed by coal trucks with a capacity of 40 tons/truck, the bridge only costs Rp. 25 billion," he explained.
This member of Commission D of the DKI DPRD has warned the DKI Jakarta Bina Marga Office to explain in detail the nominal budget of Rp145 billion so that it does not become a finding in the future.
"We ask for a detailed explanation, I do not dare to agree, do not let this be a finding. This tends to be expensive only for pedestrian bridges, because for roads that can be passed by trucks with a load of 40 tons, it only costs Rp. 25 billion," he added.
