Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan, said the thousands of victims of the TIP were rescued from prosecution throughout Indonesia.
"The number of victims of TIP who were rescued was 2,759 people," Ramadhan told reporters, Friday, September 29.
Thousands of victims of the TIP were rescued based on 855 police reports (LP) received by the Task Force at the Polda and Bareskrim Polri levels.
Then, of the hundreds of reports, more than a thousand people were arrested and named as suspects in the TIP case.
"The number of suspects in the TIP case is 1,024 people," said Ramadhan.
From the TIP cases revealed, the most widely used mode is to lure jobs abroad officially. In fact, the suspects illegally dispatched Indonesian citizens (WNI).
"The modes used are 533 domestic worker or domestic worker, 7 crew members, 284 prostitutes, and 69 child exploitation," said Ramadhan.
