SDN 06 Pesanggrahan Implements PJJ Pascaperistiwa Class 4 Student Dies After Jumping From 4th Floor Building

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) visited SDN 06, Pesanggrahan, South Jakarta to find out more about the death of a 6th grade student with the initials SR for jumping from the 4th floor of the school building.

On that occasion, KPAI said that after the SR incident, SDN 06 Pesanggrahan implemented distance learning (PJJ).

"Today we together with the Education Office (Department) offer our condolences to the families of the victims. Overall, there are 314 students, while still PJJ," said Commissioner of the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) Aris Adi Leksono to reporters, Wednesday, September 27.

KPAI will also provide assistance to all students to teachers at the school to prevent prolonged traumatics.

"Friday, it will be normal again for children who are 314 and assistance will be carried out, trauma healing for teachers to students and of course there will be family assistance from the legal aspect as well as other social functions," he said.

Adi asked the public not to disseminate videos of the SR incident jumping from the school building.

"So that the video that had gone viral, please stop it because it can trauma the victim's family and of course the hope is that this atmosphere can return to conducive so that there are 314 other children who can return to study," he concluded.
