Apart From Sandiaga And Mahfud MD, PDIP Opens Opportunities For Other Names To Be Ganjar's Vice Presidential Candidate

JAKARTA - Chairman of the PDI-P (PDIP) DPP Djarot Saiful Hidayat said that names could appear apart from the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno and Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD as candidates for vice president (cawapres) accompanying Ganjar Pranowo. This possibility is very open so that all parties are asked to be patient.

"There are (names other than Sandiaga Uno and Mahfud MD. So just wait for the right moment," Djarot told reporters at the PDIP DPP Office, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Thursday, September 21.

Quoting the statement of the Secretary General of PDIP Hasto Kristiyanto, Djarot said there would be a surprise. "It could be the person, when the date could be delivered, the place could be, the moment," he said.

"So we'll just have to wait," continued Djarot.

Furthermore, PDIP also has the opportunity to wait for the announcement of the vice presidential candidate from another candidate, namely Prabowo Subianto. This is because only the Minister of Defense has not yet made a choice because Anies Baswedan has now partnered with PKB General Chair Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin.

Djarot said, his party is waiting for no noise to occur. Moreover, political dynamics could occur until the registration of presidential and vice-presidential candidates is opened by the General Election Commission (KPU) on September 19-25.

"It's better that (waiting Prabowo to announce it, ed)," he said.

However, in the process of waiting for this PDIP will certainly not be silent. They will continue to do political work, including going down to meet with the people.

"The PDI-P is still consistent, it is better if we carry out real political movements. What is it? Yes, like today's event, answering Indonesia's challenges in the future to build our agriculture more modern, advanced, and independent," said Djarot.

"PDI-P cadres are ordered to go down to the mass base.... That's real politics, to be able to help people in overcoming various kinds of problems," he concluded.
