Husband And Wife Arrested, 1,000 Ecstasy Pills And 1 Kg Of Methamphetamine Failed To Be Circulated In Pekanbaru

The circulation of 1,000 pills of the Minion logo ecstasy and 1 kilogram (kg) of methamphetamine was successfully thwarted by the Pekanbaru Police Narcotics Investigation Unit (Satres) on Jalan Fisherman Ujung, Sri Meranti Village, Rumbai District, Pekanbaru, on Monday night, at around 21.00 WIB.

The arrest operation, which was carried out on the orders of the Head of the Narcotics Unit, Kompol Manapar Situmeang, which was led directly by the Deputy Chief of Drugs AKP Noki Loviko, managed to secure a suspect in the dealer and owner of the illicit goods, with the initials MF alias Apid (45 years).

In addition to the suspect, officers also helped secure the wife of the suspect named Lasmi (37 years) for questioning regarding her husband's involvement in the drug trafficking.

Wakasat Narkoba, AKP Noki Loviko confirmed the disclosure. "From the suspect's hands, we managed to secure 1,000 ecstasy pills and 1 kg of crystal methamphetamine in a house in Tapung District, Kampar Regency," said Noki, Monday, September 18.

Noki explained, from the confession of the suspect the illicit goods was hidden in a house in Tapung District, Kampar Regency. According to the suspect's statement, the illegal goods MF will be circulated in the Pekanbaru City area," he said.

Wakasat explained that the disclosure began with the development of a drug case handled by the Pekanbaru Police Narcotics Unit previously.

"Initially we secured a suspect named Roberth, from the hands of suspect Roberth, we managed to secure 11 ecstasy pills and claimed to get the item from a dealer with the initials MF," he said.

From this information, Noki then immediately investigated and tracked down the whereabouts of the suspect MF. "Arriving at the Fisherman's Road, we managed to secure the suspect MF and his wife Lasmini," he explained.

Subsequently, an interrogation was carried out and MF admitted that he kept thousands of ecstasy pills at his house on Jalan Samsul Bahri, Karya Indah Hamlet, Tapung District, Kampar Regency.

"Furthermore, the team headed to the house. Arriving at the location, we managed to secure evidence in the form of 502 pills of ecstasy pills with the green Minion logo, 499 pills of ecstasy pills with the orange logo, and 1 large package of methamphetamine with a gross weight of 1 kilogram," he explained.

In front of the officers, the suspect admitted to getting the illicit goods from a dealer with the initials CA and is currently on the wanted list (DPO).

Currently, the suspect and evidence have been secured at the Pekanbaru Police Headquarters to undergo further legal proceedings. "For his actions, our perpetrators are trapped under Article 114 Junto Article 112 Junto Article 132 of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with the threat of a sentence of more than 10 years in prison," he concluded.
