"We see that after mitigating the DKI Health Office, the cases began to decline. Although still high, it has shown a decline," said Director of Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases at the Ministry of Health, Imran Pambudi, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, September 13.
Imran said the decline was marked by a decrease from 16,788 cases to 15,193 cases, then to 12,317 cases, then to 8,419 cases, up to 3,189 cases of non-pneumonia ISPA consecutively since last September 6-10.
As for the ARI pneumonia, it was recorded a decrease from 452 cases to 428 cases, then to 289 cases, then to 274 cases, up to 61 cases in a row since last September 6-10.

According to him, one of the causes of the decline in the number of ISPA cases in Jabodetabek is the establishment of the Air Control and Pollution Task Force for the Jabodetabek Region as well as the Ministry of Health's Air Respiratory and Pollution Disease Management Committee (PPPPU) which has succeeded in carrying out a number of mitigation efforts to the bad effects of air pollution.
Therefore, the Ministry of Health encourages various joint efforts that have been made by a number of parties in dealing with the bad effects of air pollution.
"Including raids for emission tests, I think if it is carried out continuously it will have a more impact," said Imran Pambudi.
