President Jokowi Calls Cooperation And Trust ASEAN-RRT A Positive Force For Regional Peace Stability

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo invited the People's Republic of China (RRT) to realize concrete cooperation with ASEAN, when opening the 26th ASEAN-RRT Summit in Jakarta, Wednesday.

President Jokowi said that the RRT is one of the four ASEAN dialogue partners who have a comprehensive strategic partner status.

This year, RRT's access to Friendship and Cooperation (TAC) is entering its 20th year.

"We need to interpret all of this by realizing mutually beneficial concrete cooperation, where this can only be done if we have mutual trust, which of course must be built and maintained by all parties," said President Jokowi, Wednesday, September 6.

"This concrete thrust and cooperation can be a positive force for regional stability and peace," said President Jokowi.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Li Qiang who led the RRT delegation on this occasion said that the RRT and ASEAN always maintain good relations with each other.

"After all, the situation in the international world, China and ASEAN continue to maintain good relations, communicate, respect each other and accommodate things that are of common concern," said PM Li.
