The epicenter of the earthquake was located at coordinates 9.69 South Latitude (LS) and 124.10 East Longitude (BT) or precisely located in the sea at a distance of 36 km northwest of South Central Timor Regency with a depth of 75 km.
An earthquake was felt by residents of Kupang City, Kupang Regency, North Central Timor Regency, Belu, and Malacca Regency.
"The earthquake shock was so strong that the glasses on the plate racks were all rocking," said Desi, a resident of Naikoten II Village, Kupang City.
