JAKARTA - The National Police through the International Relations Division (Hubinter) revealed a syndicate of fraudulent acts with the mode of love scamming. The disclosure is the result of collaboration with the Chinese police or the Ministry of Public Security of the People's Republic of China (RRT).
"The National Police through the Divhubinter conducted a joint operation to arrest the perpetrators of love scamming in the Riau Islands today," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Sandi Nugroho in his statement, Tuesday, August 29.
Love scamming is a type of fraud that perpetrators deceive victims emotionally through fake romantic hubs.
This fraudulent syndicate uses a luxury house as a place to act. The location is in the Cammo Industrial Park Simpang Kara Complex, Riau Islands.
