BENGKULU - The Corruption Eradication Commission warns of the dangers that have sometimes not been realized by the state civil apparatus until they commit acts of corruption, namely bad influences and encouragement from families and the environment.
"Families and the environment can greatly influence an ASN person to commit acts of corruption," said KPK Corruption Eradication Analyst Yulianto Sapto Prasetyo in Bengkulu as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 29.
He gave an example when the community environment or workplace is trending to use the latest devices, it can encourage ASN to follow this trend. In fact, getting the device does not necessarily have financial adequacy.
"For example, in the environment it uses the iPhone 13 or 14, while this ASN has the iPhone 10 and finally tries to get the latest one. When it doesn't cost, the potential is open (to commit corruption in order to buy it)," he said.
Likewise, families, husband or wife and children have an important role in urging ASN to get things outside the reach of income or salary as state servants.
"Or from a partner. For example, there are new neighbors who have a Mercedes car, the mother said neighbors already have a new car and when to have it like that. Now that's pressure from the family, finally committing acts of corruption considering that salaries are not enough to buy goods like that," explained Sapto.
