Ministry Of PUPR: Building Inspection At IKN Nusantara Conducted In July 2024

PENAJAM - Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) through the State Capital Infrastructure Development Implementation Task Force (IKN) conducted an examination of all buildings at IKN Nusantara in July 2024 to ensure that the building was habitable. "All of these buildings are the Palace Area and the Presidential Office, the Coordinating Ministry Office (Kemenko), the landed houses of ministerial positions, and other buildings can be examined or assisted in July 2024," said the Head of the Task Force (Kasatgas) for the Implementation of the Sumadilaga Danis Infrastructure Development at IKN Nusantara, North Penajam Paser Regency, East Kalimantan, Antara, Wednesday, August 23. Danis added that checks were carried out such as checking lights and water flow, function of stairs, division of rooms, and other things. The inspection aims to ensure that the buildings at IKN Nusantara are habitable. "The test was carried out before the commemoration of the 79th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence at IKN Nusantara," he said. Based on data from the Ministry of PUPR, until August 17, the realization of the construction of the state palace building and the ceremonial field reached 22.13 percent, then the realization of the construction of the presidential office building was 27.52 percent. The realization of the construction of buildings and areas of the coordinating ministry 1 reached 12.78 percent, buildings and areas of the coordinating ministry 3 reached 10.42 percent, buildings and the coordinating ministry area 15.13 percent. The construction of 36 landed houses for ministerial positions will be completed in June 2024, where as of August 17, the construction realization reached 22.68 percent. Previously, the Chairman of Commission II of the DPR RI H. Ahmad Doli Kurnia Tandjung hoped that the IKN construction could be completed on time and the ceremony on August 17 next year could be held at IKN as planned. He conveyed three messages related to the development of IKN. First, so that the presence of IKN can increase the dignity of the Indonesian people, especially those around IKN in accordance with the main objective of IKN, namely accelerating equitable development in Indonesia. Second, it is hoped that this development can be carried out by continuing to preserve the environment. So that how this IKN development can cover a large area but the existing environment is maintained. Third, hopefully IKN can become the center of Indonesia's progress in the future.

The archipelago is the capital city of Indonesia in the future, which is stipulated and regulated by Law Number 3 of 2022. The archipelago will change the orientation of development to Indonesia-centric, and function to accelerate the transformation of the country's economy.
