Bambang Yugo explained that after a chain message and a video of the robbery mentioned occurred in the Denpasarviral area in the media for conveying WhatsApp messages, the Denpasar Police and the South Denpasar Police immediately conducted an investigation at the location mentioned.
To clarify the location of the video, the Denpasar Police have coordinated with the Bali Police Ditreskrimsus Cyber Team by conducting cyber patrols and matching the location, but there is no suitable place between the video and the location of Taman Pancing, Pemogan.
"Members have checked at the location of Jalan Taman Pancing, South Denpasar and so far nothing has been found to stand out," he said.
The contents of the WhatsApp chain message are in the form of an appeal to the public for an incident of robbery and asking the public not to leave the house without any clear interests, let alone going to Taman Pancing.
The message stated that the information was official information from the police received on Sunday (20/8). However, the Denpasar Police Chief denied that the information did not have a clear source.
