JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) has imposed sanctions on three hospitals, namely Dr. National Central General Hospital. Cipto Mangunkusumo (RSCM) in Jakarta, Hasan Sadikin Hospital in Bandung, and Adam Malik Hospital in Medan due to cases of bullying or bullying. The sanction is in the form of a written warning sent to each of the three president directors (directors) of the hospital. The Ministry of Health has also asked the three Directors of the hospital to impose sanctions on medical staff and PPDS Those involved. Director General of Health Services Azhar Jaya said, the sanctions for the three hospitals were carried out after the investigation by the Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Health by finding several cases with complete evidence. "I received many questions as to why the Ministry of Health interfered in dealing with bullying in the education process? I emphasize that the Ministry of Health is taking action against bullying in hospitals managed by the Ministry of Health, and it is our responsibility to ensure practices like this. "It did not happen in our environment," said Azhar in his statement, quoted on Friday, August 18. The Ministry of Health has received 91 cases of alleged bullying to the Ministry of Health's report channel between July 20 and August 15, 2023. This report emerged after the issuance of the Minister of Health's Instruction on Prevention and Handling of Bullying for Students, especially at Education Hospitals within the Ministry of Health, on July 20, 2023. From the report received, 44 reports occurred in hospitals managed by the Ministry of Health, 17 reports from hospitals in 6 provinces, 16 reports from FK in 8 provinces, 6 reports from university-owned hospitals, 1 report from TNI/Polri Hospitals, and 1 report from private hospitals. Of the 44 reports at 11 Kemenkes Hospitals, all of them have been validated. A total of 12 reports from 3 hospitals have been investigated, and 32 reports from 8 Ministry of Health hospitals are in the process of being investigated. The majority of reports of bullying related to requests for costs outside of needs education, services and research, as well as guard duties beyond reasonable limits. Against other hospitals that are not managed by the Ministry of Health, reports of alleged bullying will be forwarded to relevant agencies. Azhar said, if the practice of bullying is still repeated, the sanctions given to the perpetrators will be notes and considerations when the perpetrator extends the practice permit (SIP).
