PDIP Affirms Jokowi Banks Issues Support Prabowo In The 2024 Presidential Election

Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto emphasized that President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has dismissed the issue of supporting Prabowo Subianto in the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres).

"This has been denied by President Jokowi," Hasto told reporters in Bogor, West Java, Tuesday, August 15.

Hasto believes Jokowi is a figure who understands the philosophy of the nation. He is also considered an honest leader like the puppet figure, Yudhistira.

Therefore, the claims circulating regarding Jokowi supporting Prabowo ensured that PDIP was not true. Hasto said it was conveyed in order to get support alone.

"That the claims that were declared incorrect, only to get elite support, were immediately denied by President Jokowi," he said.

Hasto invites all parties to convey the best narrative for the community because they will determine the future of the nation. "And for PDIP, that is Pak Ganjar Pranowo," he said.

Previously, President Jokowi stated that he did not take care of the cooperation of political parties in the 2024 presidential election. He said all these affairs were left to each party.

This was conveyed by Jokowi when answering questions about the steps taken by Golkar and the National Mandate Party (PAN) who had just joined Gerindra and the National Awakening Party to support Prabowo Subianto.

"Yes, that's the business of the parties. That's Golkar's business, PAN's business, Gerindra's business, PKB's business, party affairs," said Jokowi after handing over an honorary sign at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Antara, Monday, August 14.

Jokowi said that no communication was made by the parties to him regarding the support of the presidential election.

"No, no, no, that's their business, coalition matters, cooperation matters are party matters, I'm not the party chairman," Jokowi explained.

The President also said that the coalition of parties supporting the government was still ongoing.
