Puspom Explores Witness Statements From Briberyers And Basarnas Employees

The TNI Military Police Center (Puspom) is investigating the statements of a number of witnesses, including the bribe givers and those involved and several employees of the National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) in the investigation of two TNI officers suspected of bribery at Basarnas.

Head of the Indonesian National Armed Forces Information Center (Kapuspen) Rear Admiral TNI Julius Widjojono mentioned the names of several Basarnas employees who were examined as witnesses in the bribery case of the former Head of Basarnas, Marshal Madya (Marsdya) TNI Henri Alfiandi (HA).

"Against the suspect Marsdya HA the witnesses presented, (a) civil servant, Didi Hamzar as Kapusdatin (Head of Data and Information Center), Captain Kal Budhi Indra Bayu (as) Head of Subdivision of TU (Head of Sub-Division of Administration), Captain Adm Kusmina personal staff, Lt. Col. AFC as the financial fund holder of Basarnas, Emsil as the witness reporting of the KPK, and Marsma (First Marshal) TNI Danang from Basarnas, "said Julius as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, August 10.

Meanwhile, for the suspect, Lt. Col. Admi Afri Budi Cahyanto (ABC), who was the head of the National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas), the TNI Puspom, studied the testimony of witnesses.

Among them are Amrizal as the reporter, and the giver of bribes, namely the President Director of PT Intertekno Grafika Sejati (IGS) Marilya, President Director of PT Kunji Abadi Utama (KAU) Roni Aidil, President Commissioner of PT Multi Grafika Cipta Sejati Mulsunadi Gunawan, Erna as SPV Treasury PT IGK, and Daniel as finance staff of PT IGK.

For questioning on Thursday, the TNI Puspom investigated the statements of a number of witnesses for the investigation into the bribery case of Marsdya HA and Lt. Col. Adm ABC.

The first is for the suspect Lieutenant Colonel ABC, (namely) brother Tomi Setiawan, Rika Mariani, Johannes, Herry Wibowo. This is from civil and private. For the suspect Marsdya HA, (witness) Mulsunadi, Roni Aidil, Maria. This is from civil and private," said Julius.

The TNI Puspom on July 31, 2023 named Marsdya HA and Lt. Col. ABC as suspects in the bribery case in the procurement of equipment at Basarnas. Both of them were immediately detained on the same day at the Military Detention Installation belonging to the Indonesian Air Force Puspom in Halim Perdanakusuma, Jakarta.

Investigators from the TNI and KPK Puspom on August 5, 2023, continued to search the Basarnas Office in Jakarta and confiscated a number of evidences stored in two boxes and a suitcase.

"The evidence confiscated were documents for the procurement of goods and services, proof of check disbursement transactions from PT Kindah, documents for the procurement of ROP for KN SAR, documents (KN SAR) Ganesha, and procurement of public safety diving equipment, administrative documents for the financial work of procuring the detection of victims of ruins, and other important documents related to the procurement of goods and services at Basarnas in 2023, then taking news of CCTV recording events at Basarnas related to the case of suspect HA," said Julius.

The TNI Puspom has also received the delegation of evidence in the form of 44 documents from the KPK.

The TNI Puspom is currently ensnaring HA and ABC under Article 12 a or b or Article 11 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended in Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code.
