JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) deployed 121 personnel to secure labor demonstrations at the Monas Horse Statue roundabout and its surroundings. The demonstration will be held on Thursday, August 10. "We will place personnel to maintain security at 14 points in anticipation of disturbances to public order in the action," said Head of DKI Jakarta Satpol PP Arifin when confirmed in Jakarta, Thursday, August 10. Arifin has also ordered his staff to prioritize a humanist and firm attitude in enforcing regional regulations (perda) or regional head regulations (perkada). "The Satpol PP on duty must prioritize a humanist, firm, and coordinate with the security forces and related elements," said Arifin. Protesters were also asked not to be destructive anarchist social facilities and public facilities (fasos and fasum) when conveying aspirations. "Of course we urge the public not to damage social and public facilities when expressing their aspirations," said Arifin. Polda Metro Jaya deployed 6,612 joint personnel to secure labor demonstrations at the Monas Horse Statue roundabout, and several other locations in the capital city.
