TNI Explores The Role Of 13 Soldiers Participating Major Dedi Geruduk Medan Polrestabes

JAKARTA - The Military Police of the Regional Military Command (Pomdam) I/Bukit Barisan are still exploring the role and involvement of 13 soldiers who visited the Medan Police Headquarters, North Sumatra, with Major Dedi Hasibuan on Saturday (5/8).

Head of the TNI Information Center (Kapuspen) Laksamama Muda (Laksda) Julius Widjojono said that if they were proven to be involved, the soldiers' investigations would be delegated from Pomdamke Puspom TNI.

"If they only follow in, maybe only there. However, if they are involved more deeply, they will also be taken to the Puspom," said the Head of the TNI Headquarters as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, August 9.

Meanwhile, Major Dedi Hasibuan, who is in the public spotlight for his arrival to the Medan Polrestabes, is currently still undergoing examination at the TNI Puspom.

Julius has not been able to convey Dedi's examination regarding disciplinary violations or violations of the law.

"Yes, traced, starting from the root of the problem, what is certain is that the principle of presumption of innocence is put forward so that it is (fair, ed.), and most importantly how to find the root of the problem so that conflicts in this nation do not continue to occur. The nation with three time zones, hundreds of ethnic languages, religions, and one unit is very easy to pit," said Julius Widjojono.

Kapuspen again emphasized that the TNI Commander Admiral Yudo Margono firmly took action against soldiers who were proven to have violated the law.

"The order of the TNI Commander is firm, brush! Take firm action, don't hesitate, that's all," said Julius.

But Julius said the principle of presumption of innocence also applies to Major Dedi, who is currently still undergoing examination at the TNI Puspom.

Major Dedi Hasibuan along with several other TNI soldiers came to the Medan Polrestabes Headquarters, Saturday (5/8), to request a suspension of detention of a suspect with the initials ARH.

The Head of Public Relations of the North Sumatra Police, Kombes Hadi Wahyudi, explained that the arrival was aimed at coordination.

"Yes, that's right, he came to the Medan Police Criminal Investigation Unit to coordinate with regard to the request for a suspension of detention, one of the ARH suspects is the family of Major Dedi Hasibuan," said Hadi.

He considered the arrival to be a normal event.

"We are solid TNI/Polri. Every thing is always well coordinated. That the task of the Police is to serve all parties," he said.
