Police Confirm Fight Of Former MMA Athletes With 2 Youths In Tangerang Is Not Engineering

TANGERANG - Police confirmed that the commotion between MMA athlete Rudy Agustian alias Rudy Golden Boy and two youths in Indomaret in the Pagedangan area, Tangerang Regency was not a fabrication.

"We make sure from the initial witness statements, clarifications that have been taken, that this is a pure incident, there is no prank or setting," said Pagedangan Police Chief, AKP Seala Syah Alam, to reporters at his office, Tuesday, August 8.

Seala explained that the incident occurred on Saturday, August 5. The incident started when Rudy, who was at the Indomaret cashier, was about to pay for groceries.

Suddenly two youths overtook Rudy, thus provoking the emotions of the former MMA athlete. Then there was a fight until finally a fight broke out at the location.

"We have taken witness statements, namely shop employees, confirming that it happened on August 5, Saturday around 20.50 WIB," said the police chief.

"The shop officials are in accordance with the SOP to separate the two parties and ask that in accordance with the queue that occurred, they even complain to each other. Even there is physical contact, that's how it happened," continued AKP Seala.

For this incident, Indomaret reported this incident to the police. The police also continue to investigate this case because the minimarket cashier became a victim due to being hit when the fight broke out.

"There are legal steps from the indomaret itself. Because employees are also victims, besides that it also disturbs public order," said the police chief.
