The Prosecutor's Office is investigating illegal coal mining activities in Penajam Paser Utara (PPU) Regency, East Kalimantan (Kaltim).

Head of the Special Crimes Section (Kasi Pidsus) of the PPU District Attorney (Kejari) Abram Namibia Putra Tambunan said illegal coal mining has the potential to cause state losses.

Currently, the North Penajam Paser Kejari Kebuhan Mafia Task Force is investigating the levy on the Benuo Taka Port levy located in Buluminung Village, Penajam District, which is suspected of having problems.
