BRIN Researchers' Strong Warning, Megawati: Playing Political, Get Out!

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Steering Committee of the National Research and Technology Agency (BRIN), Megawati Soekarnoputri, warned researchers at the institution not to play politics. BRIN researchers involved in politics will be issued.

"There is no politics here. If I have heard of one person, I have issued it because he plays politics and uses BRIN. I said get out. Be careful," said Megawati at an event entitled "BRIN Hearing" at the Nayaka Loka Building, in the Candikuning Botanical Gardens environment, Tabanan Regency, Bali, Monday 7 August.

Megawati asked all researchers to focus on doing research in the interests of the nation and state. He also reiterated that BRIN researchers should not play politics.

"Yes, if you can't believe it, just ask, look, I'll take it out. Do you really want to do politics? The politics is research politics. That's the point, you know," said Megawati.

In addition, the Chairperson of the PDI-P also warned BRIN to be careful in using the budget.

"Finally, be careful with your 3 letters, because if you research, the money will be big from here. Be careful, don't play it, you know what three letters are?" asked Megawati to BRIN researchers.

Then, the state of BRIN compactly answered "KPK".

"In order to remember in my ears, yes, don't think about it, I don't know. I'm the president and I've been vice president, I know how it works and my KPK made it," continued Megawati.

In the "BRIN Hearing" event, Megawati gave directions in front of 127 BRIN researchers. The fifth President of the Republic of Indonesia was accompanied by the Head of BRIN, Laksana Tri Handoko, and Deputy Head of BRIN, Vice Admiral (Laksdya) Amarulla Octavian.
