Regency Government Asks All Parties To Monitor Politization Of Places Of Worship In Kulon Progo Ahead Of The November 2023 Campaign Stage

DIY-Kulon Progo Regency Government (Pemkab) invites all parties to be aware of places of worship in Kulon Progo as a campaign event in the 2024 election campaign stage.

Acting Kulon Progo Regent Ni Made Dwipanti Indrayanti said the 2024 election campaign stage began in November 2023, but the campaign atmosphere was very visible.

"In the 2024 election, what needs to be guarded are places of worship. Do not let it become a location to give a deposit. This must be careful," said Ni Made in Kulon Progo, Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY), Tuesday, July 1, which was confiscated by Antara.

Currently, he continued, many billboards and posters for prospective legislative members have been installed everywhere, as well as passenger activities in the field.

"The Kulon Progo Satpol PP has moved quickly to carry out cleaning. We must provide public education that things outside the rules must take action. There should be no omission," he said.

The five-year democratic party has a clear picture, such as problems that will occur in society ranging from the number of votes to empty boxes.

"We learned to carry out an inventory of problems from five years ago during the 2019 General Election," he said.

He hopes that the KPU and Bawaslu have recorded and recorded previous elections so that problems that have the potential to arise in the 2024 General Election can be anticipated.

"We hope that the implementation of the 2024 General Election will run safely and peacefully. We hope to get the trustworthy leaders and representatives of the people," he said.

Ni Made said stakeholders in Kulon Progo must fight according to their respective duties, basic functions, and contribute to securing the implementation of the 2024 Democracy Party, especially social issues.

"This social problem is not just talking about who the campaign is, it's like stealing a start," he said.

Ni Made hopes that Bawaslu and the KPU will intensively disseminate socialization to the community, especially the millennial generation regarding elections so that certain interests are not ridden.

"Education to the public about understanding being good voters, good organizers, and good supervision," he said.

He said the SARA conflict in Kulon Progo still has to be suppressed and must be given an understanding to push each other out and respect each other.

"SARA is not related to elections, but the reality is the substance of the campaign," he said.

Chairman of Bawaslu Kulon Progo Ria Harlinawati said, November 28, 2023, campaigns have started so that more stringent and complex supervision is needed.

"We cannot carry out surveillance ourselves so it requires community participation," he said.
