Police Investigate Findings Of 8 Positive People Of Methamphetamine During A Boarding House Raid In Kendari

A total of eight people who tested positive for shabu-shabu were taken to the Southeast Sulawesi Police Headquarters. They were caught in a boarding house raid carried out by the police in Kendari City.

Director of Narcotics Research at the Southeast Sulawesi Police, Kombes Pol. Bambang Tjahjo Bawono, said that three women and five men were detained.

"We from the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police's Narcotics Directorate carried out raids on Saturday, July 29, 2023," said Bambang in Kendari, Monday, July 31, as reported by Antara.

He revealed that the raid on boarding houses and inns was to uncover the illicit trafficking of narcotics that the public complained about based on reports on Friday, Curhat recently.

Bambang said that his party took samples from several boarding houses and lodging in Kendari, as a result there were 13 boarding houses and lodging carried out by raids.

He explained that during the raid at a number of boarding houses and inns in Kendari City, his party took urine from as many as 63 people who were in boarding houses and inns raided.

"Of the 63 people who were tested for urine, 55 people were tested negative and eight people tested positive for methamphetamine using methamphetamine," said Bambang.

Based on these findings, Bambang admitted that his party would conduct a more in-depth investigation regarding the eight people who were arrested.

"Especially about how they get the illicit goods," he said.
