Bripda IMS-Bripka IG Charged with Murder, Threatened with Death Penalty

JAKARTA - The National Police have named Bripda IMS and Bripka IG as suspects in the police shooting case that killed Bripda Ignatius Dwi Frisco Sirage. They were charged with multiple articles that threatened the death penalty.

"Setting the number of suspects to be two people," said Bogor Police Chief AKBP Rio Wahyu Anggoro to reporters, Friday, July 28.

In this case, the two suspects were charged with articles that were not much different.

For Bripda STI, they are charged with Article 338 and/or 359 of the Criminal Code and/or emergency law number 12 of 1951.

Meanwhile, Bripka IG is subject to Article 338 juncto 56 and/or 359 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with 56 of the Criminal Code and or emergency law number 12 of 1951.

"For the criminal threat, the death penalty, or life imprisonment, or a temporary prison sentence of up to 20 years," said Rio.

On the other hand, Karo Penmas of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan, said that Bripda IMS and Bripka IG were considered to have committed a serious code of ethics violation.

The decision was based on the results of a case held by the Propam Division with other work units.

With that decision, both of them were given a special placement sanction (patsus) in the Propam Division.

"The results of the court case determined that the two alleged violators on behalf of Bripda IM and Bripka IG had committed a serious code of ethics violation," said Ramadhan.
