Jambi Governor: National Working Meeting For Village Government Associations Not To Invite Presidential Candidates To Not Be Political

Jambi Governor Al Haris appealed to the National Working Meeting (Rakernas) of the All-Indonesian Village Government Association (APDESI) in his area not to invite presidential candidates, so that activities attended by village heads from all over Indonesia should have political nuances.

"Initially, the National Work Meeting of APDESI in Jambi on July 26, it was planned to be attended by President RJ Joko Widodo, but the President at the same time was on a foreign work visit, so it was possible not to attend later," said Al Haris as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, July 25.

Jambi Governor Al Haris reiterated that his party did not want three presidential candidates to attend because he did not want any political elements in the APDESI National Working Meeting.

Regarding preparations, Al Haris emphasized that all events were handed over directly to APDESI, because the Jambi Provincial Government only hosted this year's Apdesi National Working Meeting.

"This is an ordinary Raker and they are village heads who have a celebration, the Jambi Provincial Government is only the host," he said.
