Survey Of Indicators Expect Next Leaders In Line With Jokowi, Top Ganjar

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Political Indicators survey institute revealed the results of the latest survey findings showing that the majority of the public considered Joko Widodo's leadership style to be a benchmark for the next leader.

As many as 63.4 percent of respondents agreed that the next president must be in line with President Joko Widodo. The survey with the title 'National Leadership and Electoral Dynamics Ahead of 2024 in the Eyes of the Young Generation' was conducted between June 20-24 and 2024, involving 1,220 respondents with a confidence level of 95 percent.

The main researcher of Indonesian Political Indicators, Burhanuddin Muhtadi, stated that the results of this survey show that Jokowi's leadership style has a major influence on public assessment of the next presidential candidate. This means that the public hopes that the future president will be able to continue what Joko Widodo has done.

In other findings, the survey also noted public attitudes regarding who was considered capable of continuing the work of the Jokowi government. Ganjar Pranowo was in the top rank with a percentage of 39.5, followed by Prabowo Subianto in second place with a percentage of 33.2, and followed Anies Baswedan with a percentage of 17.6.

"Ganjar is considered the most capable of continuing the work of the Jokowi government, followed by Prabowo and Anies," said Burhanuddin.

However, the survey also found two urgent issues that Jokowi had to immediately deal with. The most prominent issue is the price of basic necessities, which recorded a percentage of 27.7 in terms of the urgency of handling them. Followed by job or unemployment problems, which get a percentage of 21.2 as an issue that needs to be addressed immediately.

"The second problem is related to employment or unemployment problems. There are 21.2 percent who think the problem is urgent to be handled immediately," he added.

With the results of this survey, the public emphasized the importance of continuity in leadership and saw Joko Widodo's leadership style as a reference for future leaders.
