BENGKULU - The central government has budgeted Rp400 billion for road repairs at eight points in Bengkulu province.
"There are Rp400 billion prepared from the state budget (APBN) to repair roads in Bengkulu Province," said Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono in Bengkulu City as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, July 20.
Basuki said the eight roads to be repaired were in a number of areas such as North Bengkulu Regency and Seluma Regency.
Previously, the Acting Head of the Bengkulu Province Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR), Tejo Suroso, said that the 670.8 kilometer road from the total road belonging to the province was damaged.
"Of the total length of roads belonging to the province, namely 1,560 kilometers, about 57 percent of them are in good condition," he said.
