Task Force Finds 77 Stubborn Palm Oil Companies In SIPERIBUN, Randomly Provides Data

JAKARTA - The Palm Oil Industry Governance Improvement Task Force and Optimization of State Revenue (Satgas Sawit) found 77 palm oil companies that violated the provisions for filling out the Plantation Licensing Information System (SIPERIBUN) application. "90 companies have been verified, 77 we have rejected because the input is inconsequential. Only numbers one, two, three, four are important as long as they enter," said Deputy Chairman II of the Sawit Task Force Agustina Arumsari at the Palm Oil Settlement Socialization event in the Forest Area which was attended in Jakarta, Antara, Monday, July 17. Agustina emphasized that data filling in at SIPERIBUN could not be done carelessly, because his party also matched data with other government agencies. He said that his party would process palm oil entrepreneurs who filled in data at SIPERIBUN carelessly by inviting them directly to clarify their data. "The government agencies are all members of the Palm Oil Task Force, we share data. Please help not to be inconsequential in entering data," he said. He revealed that there are still many palm oil companies that have not filled in the data. This is evidenced by the new record of 621 companies out of around a thousand palm oil companies that have to fill in SIPERIBUN. He appealed to all palm oil companies to fill in data at SIPERIBUN as soon as possible, before the deadline stipulated in Law Number 11 of 2020 or the Job Creation Law (UUCK) Article 110A, namely on November 2, 2023. "The Palm Oil Task Force is obedient to the provisions, and will solve the problem in accordance with applicable laws and regulations," he said. According to him, filling in data, validation, clarification, and correct recommendations are ways to solve one by one the problems related to oil palm plantations in forest areas.

He hopes that palm oil entrepreneurs will take advantage of this opportunity to immediately register their companies, while the government encourages all licensing efforts, as long as the permit is in accordance with the provisions.
