6 Hours Examined By KPK Regarding Corruption Of PEN Funds, Muna Regent Denies Communication With 2 Other Suspects

Muna Regent La Ode Muhammad Rusman Emba was questioned by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) for six hours at the Tipidkor Room of the Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimsus) of the Southeast Sulawesi Police. He was investigated for alleged corruption in the bribe funds for the National Economic Recovery (PEN). Rusman Emba was questioned from 10.00 WITA until 16.00 WITA with a question given by KPK investigators as many as 20. "There are quite a lot of questions in the 20s," said Rusman in Kendari, Antara, Monday, July 17. During the investigation, Rusman explained that he did not communicate with other suspects, La Gomberto and Syukur regarding PEN funds. "Personally, I know but in terms of this PEN, I almost don't communicate with them," said Rusman. He fully handed over the investigation into the PEN fund corruption case to the KPK. He only believed that he was not at all involved in the vortex of the case being investigated by the anti-corruption agency. "If there is, for example, who said that I was involved in it, of course, the confrontation will be in the next investigation. But I believe that I am not involved in that," he explained. He revealed that he always appealed to state civil servants (ASN), especially officials within the Muna Regency to never commit bribery. "It's better if we don't get the funds than violate the provisions," he said. After being questioned for approximately six hours, Rusman Emba left the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police along with his colleagues using a Toyota Innova type car with police number DT 1573 GF. Previously, the Regent of Muna La Ode Muhammad Rusman Emba was asked 20 questions when questioned by the KPK regarding the alleged corruption case of PEN funds bribery that ensnared him. "There are quite a lot of questions in the 20s," said Muna Regent La Ode Rusman Emba in Kendari Monday. He explained that he did not know about the flow of PEN funds. In fact, he and other suspects named La Gomberto and Adrian had never met before.

"The issue of PEN Muna Regency, so it was stated there that there was a kind of transaction process between Gomberto, then it was linked to me and Ardian with Syukur. I just emphasize here that I have never met Ardian, there are just normative meetings in the context of parties, and the second La Gomberto I have never met," explained Rusman.
