The initial revitalization of the Solo Palace, Central Java, will focus on public areas to provide comfort to visitors who come. "What is clear is that the palace area that we focus on is an area that can be accessed by the public," said Solo Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka in Solo, Antara, Monday, July 17. He said the effort was made because the palace square area and the Gladak intersection were very slum. "It's been super slum, we continue to be blamed, he thought the government did not pay attention, so we chased the square first," he said. Next, if the outside revitalization has been completed, it will be continued in the interior of the palace, including Sangga Buwana. "Later, we will propose an area in the next year, such as Sangga Buwana," he said. According to him, some of it requires special handling because it is a cultural heritage object. "Therefore, we propose again next year," he said. Previously, related to the revitalization design of the Surakarta Palace, he said, was in accordance with the results of the study conducted by the palace. "There is a touch of contemporary but not changing the original shape," he said.

Including the palace square, he said, in the future there will be no fences but only barriers will be given. "All without a fence," he said.
