South Kalimantan Police Chief Affirms No Illegal Mining At Landslide Locations For Land Bumbu

BANJARMASIN - South Kalimantan Police Chief Inspector General Andi Rian R Djajadi confirmed that there was no illegal mining activity related to landslides on the KM171 Satui route, Tanah Bumbu Regency, South Kalimantan (Kalsel).

Information about the existence of illegal mines was reported by PT Arutmin to the Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation of the South Kalimantan Police.

"So I emphasize that it is not mining and has been confirmed," said Inspector General Andi Rian, quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, July 12.

The South Kalimantan Police Chief explained that the heavy equipment activity in the landslide road area was an activity to prepare for the braking of the retaining wall (DPT) carried out by PT Andifa Kharisma Borneo Pratama (AKBP).

PT AKBP was officially appointed by the Tabung Bumbu Regency Government to make preparations for land acquisition at that location.

The Kapolda said that his party had received the letter and it had also been submitted during a hearing with the South Kalimantan DPRD.

Then related to the complaint process against the alleged ambush experienced by the PT Arutmin group and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), said the Kapolda, it is still being investigated by the Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation of the South Kalimantan Police.

"Everything will be opened clearly according to the facts that occurred so that it does not become an assumption without the truth. I emphasize once again, there should be no illegal mining activities anywhere throughout South Kalimantan, including acts of thuggery, we must take firm action with law enforcement," he explained.
