JAKARTA - A total of 22 deaf friends participated in the Make Up Artist (MUA) batch 3 training held by the Indonesian Tough Women Foundation. MUA training was held on June 20 - July 20, 2023, for 1 month. Of the 22 deaf friends, two of them were cashless.

This deaf friend MUA training aims to make people with disabilities have qualified skills so as to build their personal skills to become more confident, have the power to be financially independent and be able to compete with the general professional MUA.

According to Myra Winarko, the General Chairperson of Indonesian Resilient Women (PTI), in the long term, the purpose of carrying out this deaf friend MUA training activity is to build a business ecosystem for people with disabilities.

"For three years, PTI collaborated with PT Paragon Tecknology and Innovation with brands of various brands, including Wardah and MakeOver products," Myra said in a press release in Jakarta, Wednesday, July 5.

This training, according to Myra, will increase the confidence of the participants that beauty is not about women who are popular among men, but beautiful from heart and confidence.

Myra said that this training is still focused on Jakarta, but it is possible to be held in other areas in Indonesia.

"Currently we are still focusing on Jakarta, but we plan to hold training outside Jakarta as well. In the near future, training activities will be held in Bandung, because the West Java branch of PTI has established with its programs," concluded Myra.
