JAKARTA - Head of the DKI Jakarta Regional Owned Enterprise Development Agency (BP BUMD) Nasruddin Djoko Surjono said that his party would evaluate the financial performance of PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) after holding Formula E 2023.
Nasruddin was reluctant to assess the results of the Formula E event from previously developed problems before the evaluation was carried out. Meanwhile, the PDIP faction of the DKI DPRD predicts that this electric car racing event will lose money because there are spectator tickets that are distributed for free.
"I checked with Jakpro first regarding the data. I have not received a report until now. Usually every quarter is submitted to report for evaluation of their respective performances," Nasruddin told reporters, Thursday, June 15.
If Jakpro has conveyed the financial performance of his company, Nasruddin admits that BP BUMD will immediately conduct an evaluation accompanied by the submission of recommendations related to the electric car racing event next year.
"So the coaching will provide input, provide direction, and may also be related to the roles for the RKA (performance plan and budget). Talking about the budget next year, we will adjust it to achieve the target," he said.
Previously, the chairman of the PDIP faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Gembong Warsono, assessed that there was a potential loss from this year's Formula E race. The reason is, there is a free distribution of Formula E tickets around the circuit location on D-day races, namely on June 3 and 4.
Not only that, many festival category audiences get free tickets for the grandstand category with spectator seats. Meanwhile, the difference in grandstand ticket prices can double the festival category.

Gembong assessed that the distribution of tickets for free does not mean that PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) as the organizer of the violation. However, this action proves that Jakpro is just a gimmick by claiming that all Formula E tickets have been sold since the day before the race.
"This means that Jakpro is just a gimmick in marketing, so people are interested. So the fact that the ticket has been sold out is not true. That is a marketing trick," said Gembong when contacted, Monday, June 5.
Gembong also linked this to the quiet condition of the grandstand category audience shortly before the electric car race started. So, Jakpro seems to have no other way to make the stands full other than distributing tickets.
"Because (the tickets) are not sold out, the end is the important thing in the full stands. That's right. That's what's important, the stands are full. With the full stands, they are finally divided," he said.
Then, regarding the profit of the Formula E race for Jakpro's finances, Gembong is waiting for the results of the evaluation and financial statements of the company owned by the DKI Provincial Government.
"In the end, we will see what the final audit of Formula E is like. It is profitable or detrimental," he said.
