Elected As President, Ganjar Denies Political Contracts To Distribute Ministerial Regulations

JAKARTA - The Governor of Central Java as well as the future presidential candidate from the PDI-P Ganjar Pranowo denied the existence of a political contract with the party for ministerial elections if elected as President.

This was conveyed by Ganjar after he attended a limited meeting (ratas) related to the arrangement of the Borobudur Temple area with Indonesian President Joko Widodo at the State Palace, Jakarta.

"The presidential system is about the president's prerogative minister, so hand over the president," said Ganjar when met at the Presidential Palace complex, as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, June 13.

On the previous occasion, PDI-P DPP Chairman Said Abdullah emphasized that there would be no political contract between the presidential candidate from the PDI-P Ganjar Pranowo and the PDI-P if Ganjar Pranowo was elected president.

"I make sure 1,000 percent there is no political contract if Pak Ganjar Pranowo becomes president," Said Abdullah added in his statement.

Said Abdullah explained that the only political contract between Ganjar and the PDI-P was to carry out the ideals of the party's struggle, namely to prosper the people.

Earlier, on Sunday, PSI cadre Ade Armando via a Twitter account named adearmando61 wrote, "I received news that Ganjar has signed a contract with PDIP that if he becomes president, the determination of the people who become ministers and occupy strategic positions will be determined by PDIP."

However, on Tuesday (13/6), Ade Armando clarified his previous tweet by stating, "Ganjar Pranowo has clarified that if he later becomes president, he will determine who is a member of his cabinet, yes, he himself. Not a party!"

Ganjar admitted to meeting with the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno in a limited meeting on the arrangement of the Borobudur Temple area.

He also mocked Sandiaga Uno who immediately joined PPP.

"Meet me later, tomorrow wear a green shirt. That's it," said Ganjar.
