KPK Asks The Chairman Of The Criminal Chamber And Supreme Court Justices To Cooperatively Attend Witness Examination

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) reminded the Chairman of the Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court (MA) Suhadi and Supreme Court Judge Prim Haryadi to cooperate in fulfilling the summons as witnesses. This warning arose because both of them were not present on Wednesday, June 7. "We believe that the two witnesses are cooperative so that they can fulfill the summons of the KPK investigating team," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Thursday, June 8. Ali said the statements of these two witnesses were important to investigate the bribery case that ensnared MA Secretary Hasbi Hasan and former Independent Commissioner of PT Wika Beton, Dadan Tri Yudianto. Suhadi and Prim were asked to vacate their schedule when summoned. Because they did not answer the call because they admitted that there were other activities. "We hope that the witnesses can attend the KPK's Red and White Building," said Ali. "The statements of the two witnesses referred to are needed in the process of investigating this case to make it clearer and clearer the actions of the suspects," he continued. As previously reported, Hasbi Hasan allegedly received money from Dadan Tri Yudianto. He is suspected of pocketing part of the Rp11.2 billion received by the former Independent Commissioner of PT Wika Beton. The money was called by the anti-corruption commission as a fee for cassation management with the defendant Budiman Gandi Suparman in the Supreme Court. The giving was made after Dadan asked Hasbi to help secure the KSP Inti Dana case.

"Some of the money was allegedly given by the suspect DTY (Dadan Tri Yudianto) to HH (Hasbi Hasan) around March 2022," said Deputy Chair Nurul Ghufron at a press conference at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, June 6. Currently Dadan has been detained at the KPK detention center. Meanwhile, Hasbi has not yet felt the detention cell and continues to be monitored so as not to run away.
