SAR Team Finds Abdullah In A Weak Position Without Clothes After Reported Drowning In The Batanghari River

The joint SAR team together with residents managed to find a crew member (ABK) who reportedly drowned and disappeared while repairing and installing an anchor in the Batanghari River safely on the riverbank. The search for victims was carried out last Monday night. "After a search was carried out for several hours after the incident that afternoon, finally the joint SAR team assisted by local residents in the evening found the victim on behalf of Abdullah (58) on the riverbank weakly and shirtless, who was immediately evacuated to the puskesmas," said Public Relations of the Jambi Basarnas M Luthfi in Jambi, Antara, Tuesday, May 30. In that incident, he said, information was that a crew member drowned in the Batanghari River named Abdullah (58). The location of the incident was in the Batanghari River, precisely in Tebing Tinggi Village, Pemayung District, Batanghari Regency, Jambi, on Monday afternoon. Then the Basarnas team assisted by the TNI, Polri, and residents conducted a search by combing the scene. While conducting a joint search with the community, he continued, that night the victim was finally found safe with a weak condition on the banks of the Batanghari River about one kilometer from the scene.

"The team then immediately evacuated the victim to the Pemayung Health Center, Batanghari Regency, for further treatment by the health team and reportedly the victim had started to improve and recovered after being found drowned in the Batanghari River," said Lutfhi.
