Bahar Smith Injured In The Stomach, Police Check 8 Witnesses Searching For The Shooter

BANDUNG - The West Java Regional Police (Polda) stated that they had examined eight witnesses related to the report of the shooting case against Bahar Smith by an unknown person in Kemang District, Bogor Regency, West Java.

The Head of Public Relations of the West Java Police, Kombes Pol. Ibrahim Tompo, the shooting of Bahar Smith, allegedly occurred on Friday, May 12, and was reported to the police on Saturday, May 13. "There are eight witnesses, including Bahar, because they were examined during the report," Ibrahim said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, May 15.

Ibrahim explained that the incident allegedly occurred around the Dishub Education and Training Center in Kemang District, Bogor Regency. Based on the initial examination, according to Ibrahim, the Bahar case occurred while Bahar was trying a repaired car. However, so far, according to him, no witnesses were at the location when the alleged shooting occurred. Ibrahim also has not explained the identities of the seven witnesses apart from Bahar Smith as the victim. From the incident, according to him, Bahar is suspected of having suffered a wound to the stomach. Even so, according to him, now the results of the post-mortem examination of Bahar Smith are still not out until Monday.

"So that we have not been able to provide further information regarding the condition and cause of the wound, the incident is still being investigated so there is no conclusion regarding the incident, including the cause of the wound," said Ibrahim. The alleged shooting case against Bahar Smith was reported to the Bogor Police with police report number: LP/DP/V/2023/SPKT/POLSEK KEMANG/BOGOR/WEST JAVA POLICE.
