Find 810 Names Of 2024 Election Double Voters, Maluku Bawaslu Coordination KPU

MALUKU - The Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) of Maluku Province found 810 names of double voters when conducting funerals on the temporary voter list (DPS) for the sake of clean voter data.

The head of the Maluku Province Bawaslu Subair said that the results of the Maluku Bawaslu analysis so far have recorded large numbers of voters.

"We found as many as 810 names of double voters. And this is a fairly large number," said Subair in Ambon, Monday, May 8, as reported by Antara.

According to him, from these findings, the Maluku KPU needs to ensure by factualizing in the field. If true, the dual name in question must be crossed out from the DPS.

Subair also said that his party had also coordinated with the Maluku KPU to observe these findings.

"And we have also submitted recommendations to the Maluku KPU regarding these findings. We ask to be crossed out from the DPS," he said.

In addition to the problem of multiple names, Subair continued, Bawaslu also found that there were Indonesian citizens who met the requirements as voters but had not been registered on the voter list.

"There are as many as 554 voters who meet the requirements but have not been registered. We also ask that the KPU see this," he said.

Then, 827 voters were also found who did not meet the requirements but were registered with the DPS and in the records of the results of the supervision, there were voters who had been hacked and put on stickers but were not registered with the DPS.

"We hope that the recommendations that we have submitted can be corrected immediately by the KPU so that the existing data can be valid," hoped Subair.

The implementation of the stages of updating voter data and compiling voter lists has been carried out by the Maluku Provincial KPU to the determination of the DPS recapitulation.

The total DPS of Maluku Province is 1,352,673 voters, with details of 665,513 people including men and 687,160 female voters.
